As part of a mini topic on quality education, the children in Koala class have been thinking about the United Nations rights of the child. They came up with a right for each letter of the alphabet and then made bunting to go with this. Here is a photo of our very long bunting.

Safer Internet Day 2017 was celebrated globally on Tuesday 7th February with the theme ‘Be the change: unite for a better internet’. In class we looked at ways to stay safe on the internet. This term we looked at the artist Roy Lichtenstein and the style he preferred to work in (pop art ). The children took close up photographs of each other, made sketches and finally a finished piece using benday dots. The children are very proud of their work (with good reason!) Día de Muertos is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican ancestry living in other places, especially the United States. We learnt about Día de Muertos and made masks.
