Eagle Class: Mythical Greek Creatures

This week Eagle class enjoyed designing and creating their very own mythical creatures from Ancient Greece. Their sketches and paintings show a lot of promise and the children thoroughly enjoyed being artistic!

The Den – Messy makers dream catchers

T his week we made our own Dream Catchers in Messy Makers. We had lots of fun making these and talking about our dreams. We discussed how our dream catchers can help to catch the dreams we do not want to have and let through all of the nice dreams.

The Den – Life Skills- Pizza

This term we have been looking at food and eating. We have made lots of different foods including; cakes, sandwiches, toasted snacks and fruit salad. Our final week was Pizza week. We were challenged to try at least one new thing on our Pizza. We had great fun decorating the pizzas and then eating them together.

The Den – Chatterbox

This week in Chatterbox we made our own sandwiches. We followed instructions to make our own sandwiches and talked about what we like to eat at home. Afterwards we enjoyed talking as a group about our favourite parts of school.

Koalas Class – Canopic Jars

In topic we have been looking at Egyptian gods, we discovered that some gods looked after the body’s organs after death. To do this the organs were mummified and placed into Canopic jars. As our topics maths we decided to do some mathematical problem solving, discovering how the ancient Egyptians may have estimated the amount of blocks needed to build a pyramid.
