Mr North, our Sports coach, has left Westrop school to become a Pentathlon coach for Team GB. He has worked at Westrop for 6 years teaching alongside class teachers in P.E. He also helped organise sports days, fencing competitions and taken children to local sporting events. We held a special assembly for him to say goodbye on Monday 25th March where each class made
A MASSIVE THANK YOU to SAINSBURYS who provided us with a HUGE selection of fruit and vegetables following the letters we wrote to them asking for help. We had lots of fun designing, making and eating our healthy snacks. We have even written our own recipes.
We were very excited to be the first class to be awarded the DoodleMaths trophy on Friday for the most Doodle stars! Go Parrots…..great teamwork!
We had a special visitor called Bella coming from the local church and talking to us about Easter and Easter traditions. We listened to story about Jesus, talked about our feelings and decorated stones at the end.
This week saw a new group of children begin their forest school journey. They have worked well together building dens, using their balancing skills on see-saws they made, swinging in the hammock and making crowns using natural resources found within the forest area.

Today, the Year 1s from Puffin Class were lucky enough to be invited to Warnford to join in with some team work activities. We had a fantastic morning and would like to thank Warnford for having us!
16 members of KS2 choir were lucky enough to take part in the 10th anniversary of Voice in a Million which was held at the SSE Arena in Wembley.Well done to all the children who learnt several pop songs as well as the dance moves, you did Westrop proud!
We very much enjoyed our morning at Warnford. We did a lot of team building activities and would like to thank Warnford’ pupils for helping us.
In topic, Koala class have been designing and making their very own Viking longboats using plastic bottles, straws and other materials. They worked collaboratively with a partner to carefully construct their boat and these are some of our wonderful long boats.
