At the beginning of March, Mrs Christopherson, Mrs Acres, Miss Power and Miss Pimm travelled to Finland to continue the Erasmus+ project. They were joined by the visiting teachers from Wales, (unfortunately the teachers from Italy and Spain were unable to join us). All the visiting teachers had the chance to visit classes to learn about how well-being is being taught and to see how it is benefiting the children. The Westrop teachers shared a power point about Westrop Primary School with two different classes and were asked lots of different questions about what school is like in England. As well as the three days spent in school, the participating teachers were given a tour of a brand new primary school, some botanic gardens and were able to experience an outdoor forest school lesson in the countryside. The next visit is planned to be in Spain and will happen as soon as travel restrictions are lifted. This will then be followed by a visit to Italy and all the countries coming to Westrop at some point after that. Because of travel restrictions, the project coordinator has asked the British Council to extend the length of the project in light of travel restrictions and school closures.
